A Message from Our President, Antonio Baldon Sr.

Hello Bluegrass Chapter Members!

I would like to start off by introducing myself as the newly elected President for the SWANA-Kentucky Bluegrass Chapter. This is truly an honor and privilege to serve in the role and I do not take it lightly. With our board members and committee chairs continually working to improve and innovate our chapter! Keeping the same momentum from our previous Presidents. Whom I would like to personally thank for all their achievements and dedication they gave in this role as President of the Bluegrass Chapter. I plan to keep the train moving forward, which those in this Chapter leadership roles have done before me. One of the first objectives website/communication committee have started working on, is finding better ways to communicate information to all our members across the state. This includes reworking the existing website to include an easier user interface, which will include highlighted information on training, safety, events & committees’ meetings. Soon, we hope to add meeting minutes and organization information.  The second objective was to start a quarterly Chapter newsletter, everyone can’t make a board meeting. So, to help resolve that issue we are these quarterly newsletters, that will give pertinent information on Chapter events and current events in the solid waste industry. Lastly, I encourage all members to become even more involved. The Chapter will benefit, your employer will benefit, and you will benefit

Thank You All!!                                                        -Antonio Baldon, Chapter President
